Have You Heard of Epigenetics? It is changing how we look at disease.
Managing Crohn's disease starts with you. There are things you can do to lesson your symptoms.
I thought I would start with the Epigenetics of disease because I want you to understand the external factors affecting your Crohn's. Understanding Epigenetics will help you to understand the rest of my tips and hopefully will make more sense. I have to start here because so many with Crohn's disease believe there is nothing they can do and that is not true! There is a ton of things you can do to help yourself better manage your Crohn's disease.
I filmed this at the Imperial Sand Dunes in California and it only took one take and maybe 5 minutes to record because it had to! The sand was so hot that I got a sunburn from the radiating heat! The only reason why I had a bathing suit top on and looked like I had come from the beach is, well, I did! I was with my girls driving back from San Diego. I love driving and having fun catching up with my family.
There was a time when I was literally tied to a toilet and could never go anywhere. When Marteen was really young, we use to have a customized van and believe it or not we had a port-a-potty strapped in so that we could travel and I could have a little bit more freedom to get out and about. I am so thankful that those days are behind me (excuse the pun) :) .
