What are Crohn's probiotics?

What is the number one thing you can do for your Crohn's symptoms?

Crohn's probiotics come in many different forms

Tune into your microbiome. Your microorganisms work to protect you, keep inflammation down and boost your immune system.
Your microbiome help to keep viruses at bay, ward of parasites and opportunistic bacteria and fungi from making you sick AND alleviate diarrhea.
Probiotics also help to make vitamins such as B vitamins and iron both which are usually low in those with Crohn's disease.
Gut flora and Gut microbiome are one in the same. It use to be called microflora but is now called microbiome.
Proper gut microbes can help reduce inflammation; one of the symptoms of a Crohn's flare up.
Don't get me wrong, I still had a long road of recovery, but at least at that point in my healing journey I felt like I had a fighting chance!

Let's talk about Crohn's probiotics specifically

Bifidus or Bifidobacterium found in the large intestine ferments our carbohydrates and in return provides us with B vitamins such as B12 and B6. It also produces acids such as Butyric acid that helps keep the colon healthy,  and decreases intestinal inflammation. When it comes to Crohn's disease Butyric acid is usually deficient or absent when in a flare up.
Lactobacillus also create the right pH in our intestinal track to keep pathogenic microbes and fungi from over-populating and suppresses them to keep us from getting sick.
Remember I talked about pH in my last video. You can click the orange box above to get the whole series plus my Free Crohn's E-Magazine.

Yeast to fight Yeast!

Saccharomyces boulardii is a beneficial yeast that can create some B vitamins and also crowds out opportunistic yeast that can lead to immune problems.
When it comes to Crohn's disease and keeping our immune system healthy probiotics play a huge role.
I have a ton of articles to share with you on gut microbes and how these may be the underlying culprit to your Crohn's disease and terrible symptoms. If you are not on my email list you are missing out!
